Breath odor evaluator
This wonderful odd job requires odour judges to smell nasty morning breath or breath “insulted” with strong scents, like garlic or coffee. These breaths are rated from 1-9 with 1 being the most foul. To test odor-reducing products like gum or mouthwash, they smell the breath again and assign it a new rating.

Prepare cadavers for the pathologist before autopsies are performed in hospitals.

Ribbon candy puller
This lucky person pulls the candy when its soft and thin until it’s about an inch wide.

Hmm ever thought who would ensure that underwear protects against bad human gas for people who suffer from gastrointestinal problems. Well these people ensure that the underwear is made with various materials and filters to help remedy hydrogen sulfide gases, the main offender in foul smells.

Our favourite odd job, whose up for tasting and spitting out beer all day to approve new and existing flavors.

ODD JOB NUMBER 7. 

Crack filler
Using a silicone sealant, they repair the wear and tear inflicted on monumental structures, like Mount Rushmore.

ODD JOB NUMBER 8. 

Ball tester
I could think of a few people who would love this odd job...a ball tester assess basketballs, footballs, volleyballs and soccer balls for air-retention, inflation, roundness, weight and rebound ability.

ODD JOB NUMBER 9. 

Video game tester
I am certain there’s a long list of young gen Y’s clambering to test this odd job. For eight hours a day, five days a week, a group of males and females of all ages play video games. They repeat levels, games and characters, looking for any bugs and/or glitches in the software.

ODD JOB NUMBER 10. 

Tampon tester
I don’t want to know how they test this odd job...the aim? To check all sizes of tampons for absorbency and cord strength in accordance with Food and Drug Administration standards. Most testers check up to 125 pieces per day.

ODD JOB NUMBER 11. 

Gold reclaimer
I am certain this should be Odd Job number 1! These people go through old teeth for fillings, melting the gold from them with broken gold jewelry into tiny gold pellets, which are then resold to jewelers.

ODD JOB NUMBER 12. 

Dog sniffer
Once a week, they analyze the odor of dogs' breath to test the effect of the animals' diet on their teeth. Breath is graded on a scale of 0 - 10 and is categorized as sweaty, salty, musty, fungal or decaying.

Potato chip inspector

Search for overcooked or clumped chips to discard as they come down the assembly line.

Porta-potty servicer
Like regular restrooms, portable toilets need maintenance, too so this odd job requires service workers to clean these single-stall facilities to achieve certain standards of sanitation.

Barbie dress designer
Fashion designers at Mattel Toys, the company behind Barbie, create hundreds of new styles for Barbie and her ever-expanding entourage.

Wax figure maker
Mould wax to create figures, often for, but not limited to, the human form. Figures are often made in the likeness of people who have achieved historical or celebrity recognition.

Safecracker
When combinations are lost or forgotten, safecrackers use their ears and fingers to open the safe.

Wig maker
Doesn’t sound like a odd job??! But don’t be fooled, this is a tough odd job, requiring wig makers to also make a mould of a human head and then after placing a canvas over they have to pull the hairs through one by one, ugh!

Paper towel sniffer
Seriously, number 19!??? These odd job enthusiasts actually sniff used toilet paper to ensure there is no noticeable smell before during and after use!

Foley artist
