Below the bank of questions we have provided 1 example for each job type but remember, YOU are an individual so make this presentation your own!!

Background:

Given that you are launching into these types of roles for the first time, or with minimal experience, qualifications to bring to the table, personality and dedication is key to catching your potential employer's eye. Their main concern is going to be whether they invest time and money into training you and you leave after a short time, or don't turn up, or change your mind half-way through finding this career is not for you. So what you need to portray in your presentation is how serious you are about seeing this apprenticeship / trainee program to the end and why your personality traits will make you good in this role.

Questions:

  • What is your name?
  • What apprenticeship or traineeship are you after?
  • Why?
  • What do you know about this job role?
  • Where do you see yourself in the future?
  • Have you had any exposure to this type of work?
  • What made you choose this career?
  • What are you like as a person and what will this bring to the job role?
  • Why would you see this apprenticeship / traineeship through to the end?
